CHOOSING A location FOR THE MEMORIAL

The Foundation is working AECOM in choosing a site for the memorial under the guidelines set forth by the National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission. The current focus is in Area 1, adjacent to the National Mall. Updates will be forthcoming.

The US House of Representatives passed H.R. 5068, the Women Who Worked on the Home Front World War II Memorial Act.


March 12, 2020

Senators Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Martha McSally (R-AZ) and Mike Braun (R-IN) introduced the Senate’s bipartisan companion legislation to establish the memorial.


The bill (H.R 5068, the Women Who Worked on the Home Front World War II Memorial Act) was passed out of committee with unanimous support and recommendation to be located in Area I .
